10 weeks: our precious blob

On January 10th, we had our first ultrasound with the midwife. (Incidentally, we are using B. J. Snell, the same midwife that my sister-in-law used). We keep giggling about our precious blob. The first ultrasound really doesn't look like anything unless you were actually there, watching the monitor. For us, it is a magical reminder of that day. We got to watch its little heartbeat on the monitor. Our little one even jumped while we watched and I was reminded of when Elizabeth and Mary met in the bible. It is said that when Elizabeth saw Mary, the child lept in her womb and she was filled with joy. Of course, I can't feel such movement yet, but it was lovely to see.

Hopefully, soon I will figure out how to post the picture of the ulltrasound that has text and directional arrows help others see something of our little jellybean!
